Arts & Athletics
Visual Arts
Weiss students learn to play a variety of instruments, compose music and perform. Several times throughout the year, students perform throughout the community and within the school. Eighty percent of the students in grades two through eight are members of the four school bands. The two choruses are open to all students in the school. Students also have the opportunity to perform in two musical productions each year. The arts and music are integrated with the academic program, adding a new dimension to the sciences and humanities. Through music, Weiss students gain an appreciation for the performing arts and become dedicated and cultured young citizens. Students are well prepared for vocal and instrumental auditions into The Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. School of the Arts.
